Sunlight is reflected off of the windiws from across the street. The ones that land in the shade of this building are more visible than the ones on the sunlite side of the building.

Picture above of copper coffee pot reflecting onto the wall. I thought at first the lights were on (see picture below of reflection).
Same coffee pot as above when placed on the counter. See tiny reflections in the orange granite.
Light reflecting off of the cabinets.

Shadows _Gloria
LATE NIGHT STROLL
Walking through the street while thinking about the h/wk I got to noticed something I have always done but never paid attention too. Walking though the streets alone while listening to music I am not alert to my surroundings but the light around me helps provide shadows that give me a scene of my surroundings. For example, I can tell someone is coming behind me without hearing them just by the cast of their shadow coming closer to me.

INVISIBLE BOUNDARIES
Shadows also act like boundaries in some cases like above where the hallway has multipurpose use. The shadow is being cast in the space that is being used for circulation which helps highlight the other task spaces like the sitting and the work displays.
