Journal Entry #2: Perception & Lighting (Good) - Ellen Pierce

Here is an example of good lighting based on the Flynn Attributes. The visual clarity in the space is moderately clear although a bit hazy at the same time. The lighting here is bright enough which helps to create spaciousness to move about the area but not so bright as to create a relaxing environment. There is a mix of warm and cool lighting - warm from the fixtures and cool bright light from the natural light coming in on the right hand side. The distribution of light is non-uniform with more lighting placed on the perimeters of the room particularly on the vanity wall creating a sense of privacy. The lighting helps to elicit a positive pleasant reaction in this space.
