Perception in Lighting Part Two




The example of poor lighting I’d like to showcase is of a nail salon I visited this past weekend. Nail salons/spas are supposed to create an atmosphere of comfort and relaxation-not make you feel like you’re under interrogation lights.  The task lighting used to help the technicians is distracting to the customer and the uniform central florescent cool lighting creates a sense of tenseness.

For a Spa/Nail Salon it is not a relaxing/inviting environment
