Keelin Salisbury - Journal #2

Perception in Lighting Part 1:

Although I may be kind of (...very) biased, I think that me and my roommates' living room exemplifies "great" lighting for a few reasons. In terms of the Flynn Attributes, these night-time photos depict my living room as slightly more hazy than clear, cozy but not too confined, and definitely relaxing. This example of lighting is dim, warm, and not very uniform. Most of the lighting is along this back/window wall, some of which is brighter than the rest. Also, most of it is along the perimeter, with the only central part being the candle on the table.

Of course, in the daylight the lighting feels completely different in this room. It feels much more clear and spacious because of the windows.
